life update
Some of you may have missed the bad two days I had. On one day my phone stopped working, the next day my car wouldn't start and to top it all off my boy Cody-Wan had another seizure early hours this morning. But Cody is doing well, we have upped his medication dosage, and everything else turned into a much more positive direction thanks to my lovely friends and good vibes.
Thanks to my wonderful SG friends and some amazingly generous donations today I was able to get my car towed to the mechanic and pay for it to be fixed. I was very lucky that all it needed was a new battery. Apart from that it is in perfect health. I really cannot thank you all enough, not only to those who donated but to everyone who sent me good vibes and positive thoughts. They really helped!
Today my roommate found his old phone and went out of his way to get it unlocked and all just so that I could put my sim in it until I can fix my phone. The generosity of mankind always warms my heart and cures even the saddest of moments!
I am feeling I top of the world, even of my car insurance did come in the mail today! Hahaha. It really never ends, life keeps throwing you curve balls but with such a positive support network how could I let any of it get me down.
Thank you!
Ps. This is what I'm doing right now. Rubbing Cody's neck just like he prefers and watching him begin to nod off against his will haha. Isn't he just adorable?
My favourite movie
It is so hard to pick only one favourite movie. So I will go with the first one that popped into my head when I saw this topic, which was 'The Killage'.
Now, for me it's one extreme or the other. I am always the first to say that 99% of Australian films fail to keep my attention, accept for the few that stand out as some of my favourite movies of all time like Strictly ballroom, the Adventures of Priscilla queen if the desert, Chopper and... the Killage.
This film combines all of my favourite things and takes them on a work retreat to end all work retreats!
This horror-comedy (or horr-edy if you will) has your typical 'camp horror' movie shenanigans using stereotypes and predictable plot points. What is different about this one is the smart writing. You are torn between laughing and honestly trying to figure out who the killer is. There is some real fun guess work needed here! Surprisingly this movie also packed moments of good old fashion scares. The best part is that you barely have time for breaths in between hilarious scenes, sometimes it just keeps going... And going. I cried from laughter even the second time around!
First time watching: Best watched in a medium sized group of sober people.
Second time watching: get out the shots! I once splayed a drinking game where we drank every time there was a horror movie cliche or a stereotype. Needless to say we got wasted haha.
The Killage trailer - watch it!
Plus Aussie accents ;)
My favourite body modification
My favourite body mod would have to be the combination of my septum and vertical medusa piercings. I think they compliment each other really well and because I love facial symmetry, they make me very happy haha.
Here is a fun little time line for you on how I started my road to body mods.
Pre visible piercings and big tattoos:
First came the hair cut:
Then I got my vertical medusa done:
Then started the hair colours:
And then my septum piercing:
And I love them as much as the first day I visited my piercer. I don't suspect I will be a grandma rocking this piercing duo but it is fun to think about! Haha.
Thank you for reading my long blog. Now that I have a temporary phone I am back to being on the site every day and I will try not to miss so many homework topics next time!
Much love oxoxox
