This weeks homework as given by @rambo and @missy is about advice
Good advice is so important in life. I have a number of places I look to for good counsel and found two places that never let me down, firstly I look to my mother who always gives honest and good advice. Secondly I go to my books, I have always found such great life advice in books and in the lessons learnt of my favourite characters.
I am always the first of my friends to rattle off quotes from inspiring people and my favourite books as pieces of advice for any situation so here is a collection of my favourite quotes that I made for you all this morning.
-Andy Andrews
This one speaks for itself and is very good advice. "Sensible instruction is a life-giving fountain that will help you escape all manner of deadly traps." True that.
- Buddha
This quote has gotten me through some tough times and I always try to remember this when I am trying to get to the end of a bad week. When you're feeling down, think how a kind gesture can help. Even something as simple as a smile can spread like wildfire on a cloudy day. In turn, when you are happy and feel on top of the world use this happiness to spread a smile amongst strangers. Remember also, be kindest nasty people, they need it most. Hahaha :P
-Richard Bach
This is the quote I have tattooed on my ribs. It is my favourite inspirational quote and I found it in a book called Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Everything we want to achieve is limited only by what we see as being possible or impossible. Instead of seeing things this way, know in your heart what is possible, know the facts, know that nothing is truly out of your grasp and go for it!
-Andy Andrews
Another quote from this brilliant man. In his book the Traveler's Gift he speaks about gossip and lies in away that makes so much sense, I found this to be very good advice especially when starting out in the world of nude modelling. He says " Every man of character will have that character questioned. Every man of honor and courage will be faced with unjust criticism, but never forget that unjust criticism has no impact whatsoever upon the truth" preach.
-Randy Pausch
Randy Pausch is a man who achieved worldwide fame for his speech The Last Lecture at Carnegie Mellon University, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and having only a few months to live. His words still inspire me every day. He taught me that it's not the answers, but the questions you ask, and that it's not the job you have but how hard you work at it; that matters the most.
-Dalai Lama XIV
This is advice everyone should take, pass on and live by. It's simple, honest and says so much.
I hope you have all enjoyed my little advice blog. I put them into pictures so that you can copy them, perhaps make one your weekly phone background of inspiration, reblog them or send some good advice along to a friend.
Finally, I leave you with this wonderful quote and quite possibly the best advice I could ever pass on to someone.
Love, light and night time hugs to you all xx
