Faye asked about work, so I figured it was time for a small update.
I'm on the brink of losing y job over something really stupid. It sucks. Especially since I've been busting my ass lately. But we'll see how it goes.
I moved to a brand new store. I helped set it up and now I'm running it. It's only been open since last thursday, but I've been out of the old location for about 2 weeks. I am still responsible for the inventory at the old store. And we have an inventory count on the product in it tomorrow night. I'm worried because the new staff is completely overwhelmed by the high volume of the store, and when I did a category count on the accessories in the store today, many things that had been on the sales floor when I left, were missing.
Not to mention, the store looks like a fucking tornado went through it, and it was in order when I left. And now that my boss is upset with me, I have a feeling that i will be blamed for the situation, even though I haven't been there(on her orders) to maintain it. My boss(her), put a fairly new manager in one of the highest volume stores in the district, and in the course of two weeks, the store has fallen to shambles. It's filthy, the product is unorganized and the marketing is falling down around the store.
To top things off, the inventory is TOMORROW, and the manager left early to go to the "doctor" and didn't even leave the person closing any notes. I was only supposed to be there to prep for the inventory(do counts etc.) and I ended up backing up her closer on register for a good 30 minutes. Who the hell leaves their store, the day before an inventory count, without making sure it was as organized as possible? In my 4 years with the company, I've had some of the most well prepared inventories in the district I'm in. And I just have an awful feeling about this one.
Ugh,
Santa Barbara and NIN/JA coming up soon! I can't wait! Especially since this is the last for trent as far as NIN goes for the time being. And apparently they've been playing stuff they've never played live, or haven't played in years and years.
So Excited!
