Rather than update constantly with how much of a steaming pisspot my life is on a regular basis. I've decided that I will only update when big events take place.
Again, I still have a job. It's gotten better and worse. Better in that I'm getting along ok with my boss. And worse in that my assistant manager decided to be a complete waste of life and fuck over my store. Not so much with theft, though that is a possibility, but because he called out over 14 times in the course of 2 months, and the last 4 of those took place in 1 week. And he did this with little to no notice, making it extra hard to find coverage for his shifts.
In addition to this, he filed for unemployment, while he was still employed with the company. I got notice of it about 2 weeks before we finally had to let him go. So we figured he was hoping to collect unemployment for a while now, but got ahead of himself. So now that that's over, I have to find a real replacement for him, and get things situated at the store.
In other news, on the 9th I turned 27.
Derek's mom took us up to Santa Barbara for the day today to celebrate. It was awesome, we took the train, and played cards and played with our iphones and Ds's. We ate lunch on the pier, took the trolley into the downtown area and wandered about the shops and took in the scenery. It was a great trip and at the end of it she surprised me with airline gift cards so that i can take a trip up to see my family in Idaho and Arizona. It was so sweet of her to think of that. I was just planning to save enough to go, but this is such a huge help! I love her to death, she's amazing.
