God, I'm fucking bored tonight.
I have no money at all at the moment, so just staying in listening to Gary Numan and drinking dark rum....again (^ ^) I'm just waiting for one of my housemates to get back in as she's out on a date. I met the guy the other week, and he seemed pretty nice. We chatted about cameras a bit as I was developing some film in the kitchen when he came around. We planned a really cool date for them - taking in some cool bars, maybe some food later....and she ended up suggesting the local pub...
I'm down in London again next week for a bit, then hopefully I'll have enough money to have a mad night back in Newcastle the weekend after. This fucking house thing is killing me though. I'm still paying out so much money, and I'm screwed at the bank until it's sorted. I'm just trying to fend off people that want money from me, and my ex isn't helping either. Still, I bought a new cute camera on eBay (a Canonet G-III QL17 if you're into that kind of thing), so it's been going everywhere in my bag with me. It's so gorgeous, and about 20 years old. An old 35mm rangefinder (see the film Pecker for a similar model).
I have my brother's birthday party next friday in London, and in his own style, he and his boyfriend have booked a huge place, and have a bunch of bands, and DJs. Should be pretty good, even though he's a bit of an indie kid Not that I hold it against him. I guess I got the goth genes in my family... I'm the lucky one I'm going to take a bunch of pictures of the guests, so it should be really fun.
I'm actually going down with my mum and grandma - bless her. It's normally really mad trying to get them both across London, so I guess we'll just get a cab to where they're staying - the tube is just *not* an option We all went to Paris to see family a while ago, and my grandma kept getting lost even though I was telling her where to go. I lost count how many times I had to remind her to bring her bag with her, as she kept leaving it and walking off. She's such a cool girl though, 84, and still goes line dancing and does her "internet classes"
God, I'm rambling! That's not like me at all!
