Yeah, so I might just blog about my attempts to learn to play the guitar. It started last week when a friend of mine posted on FB his Rocksmith achievement of 10 songs mastered. Then the Steam Summer sale started and Rocksmith 2014 went on sale. I went back and forth for a few days, looked at 2nd hand guitars (last one I owned, I gave away years ago) then looked into inexpensive "starter" electrics. Finally found a set up on Amazon for less than $200, so I bought the software, ordered the guitar and cable.
Now I am face with the realization that I have spent close to $300 to learn the guitar (at the age of 43, go me). My biggest hurdle? My small fucking hands. It is really hard for my to stretch my wee little fingers to hit frets that are fairly far apart. But I am stretching these sons of bitches, because, dammit, when life gives you small hands...um, well, no idea where I was gonna go from there.
The real trick will be sticking to it. I have put about an hour a day into it so far, we will see if this persists.
Still can't make my fucking hands any bigger. Just another reason to say "FUCK YOU" to mom and dad for their shitty genetics. Honestly think it is more my dad than my mom.
