Here's one of those things that makes the Internet so awesome. Somebody will do some crazy thing you've always wanted to try and film it for you so you don't have to. No, the above video doesn't display any bodily harm, just a bar of soap and a microwave oven. I'd say it's even better that Marshmallow Peeps.

Excellent couple of nights with the missus....

One of our clients is an artist. He was recently featured in an area magazine. The profile on him contains this little nugget:

He continues to draw strength from his two greatest sources of influence - the old and the new.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he's influenced by the old and the new, wouldn't that mean he's influenced by - wait for...

The writer of that article is brilliant.

Thanks my friend, and I do believe if you tried to sex me up my day would have gotten even worse, no offense, I just go more for BRS than you. biggrin
tex13:
Nope, the age thing doesn't bother me at all. However, that milestone of yours coming up will have everyone out to roast you so be careful. biggrin

I've been bouncing back and forth between feeling like a big bucket of hell and feeling like a heaping dumpster of shit. At first I thought that a dip in Hamilton's lovely air quality (par for the course in the summer months) had something to do with my sore throat, but now I just generally feel unwell.

I rarely get sick. As such, when...

Haha, those ads are rather amusing. biggrin

Your behaviour while sick reminds me of myself, especially the part about being very cranky. Hope that you feel better soon!

You're welcome, good sir.

It's funny you mention the photo essays...I'm talking to BRS about them right now. Ha. biggrin

Happy America Day, ya yank bitches! kiss

To the plan I alluded to a couple of posts ago.. I have piqued the interest of people within the Provincial Government. Which is good! I also have a contact at the Royal Bank, who happens to be joining a new division with the bank relating to small business development. Also good! Maybe my cockamamie scheme has legs after...

So last night I wasn't working, and BrightRedScream wasn't working.... so SPONTANEOUS DATE NIGHT!!! we went and saw 1408.

Spooky little flick that. I was curious to see how they'd spin a short story into two hours of screen time, but it was quite good. It does all the things scary movies are supposed to. Jump-out-of-your-seat BOO! moments? Check. Protracted scenes of creeping dread...

Glad to hear that "1408" is a good movie, I really want to see it!

I love John Cusack to death - if you want to see him in other serious roles, check out "Identity," "Runaway Jury," or "Max." He's also supposed to be great in this movie called "Grace is Gone" that premiered at Sundance this year.

oh goody, something new to fiddle with -- they're making Safari for Windows now. As I read elsewhere, the only way this little strategy will fly in the (suddenly pretty damn crowded) browser market is if Apple decides to package it with iTunes. Which I have little doubt they will do, once the browser's out of the beta phase and into production.

Do you...

I haven't been to Canada's Wonderland for years but we drive past it and I think it would be fun to go to again, so I figured I'd try and see if anybody wanted to go with Slingshot and me. biggrin

What the crap? How'd this happen? How'd I end up with $80 jeans when I was looking for a Gala outfit? The only pair of pants I own that are technically more expensive than those are the pants that are part of the suit I wore to my damn wedding. Curse you Le Chateau!

Okay. I do know how it happens. There's a fundamental...

See you on Friday!
kid_hideous:
yeah, i almost feel guilty asking people to analyze...I'm really not looking for a RIGHT answer (despite my implication of the contrary - ought to go back and edit that, eh?) but more for a glimpse of the variety of interpretations...something other than the usual...'I loved it' or 'decline to state' you know?

p.s. your's is a damn good interpretation.

i have a couple pieces of nearly 80$ clothing...but they always seem to happen by accident, or i end up paying way less than that...but if they make your ass look hot...! tongue

Sunday. Day of rest? rarely.

Last night I was a "borrowed partner', filling in at a nearby Starbucks. I never realized how spoiled I was, with my nice, big, relatively new store. The one I worked at last night was a closet with espresso machines. All the same, it was a nice routine-buster, even if their store layout cruelly mocks lefties.

This post is coming...

Well the dust has cleared from the flurry of welcome messages and friendings and testimonials and such. And I have to say that BrightRedScream has a lot of great people on her list. Thanks for making me feel welcome. And, uh, don't feel you have to use up all the love on the first day. Feel free to spread it around. kiss

Despite the hoops I've...

Hey there!

Welcome to SG Mr. BRS. smile

Don't know if you remember me. We hung out at last year's gala.

Don't worry, if you can't remember me, you'll be reminded as I cling to BRS at this year's gala again.

See you there!
northern:
I can understand that. I know that your wife felt a bit shy there last year (as did I), and she was a member. I figured you must have felt very out of place.

You should sign-up for the gala under your own name now, and then you and BRS can bring guests.

Make sure they're single women who like older guys, okay? biggrin

Hi. I'm here. And stuff.

I didn't only join because at this year's Gala I wanted to be known as something other than "Mr. BrightRedScream", but that reason's up there.

A proper post after work, perhaps. And maybe some more tidying up of this disaster of a profile.

6B out.
