boy I sure do love it when I buy things and they don't work.
so I go out this afternoon to buy the parts to build a PVR machine. everything went fairly well, until I got home and started putting things together.
1) the motherboard I bought supports duron processors up to 1.2ghz. they sold me a 1.3.
2) the video card I bought will not go in this motherboard, without attempting to bend a capacitor over a quarter of an inch, which I'm not about to try and do.
3) even after all that crap, when I tried to use an existing processor and 2 other video cards, all it would do was power up, and sit there, not giving any video, or doing anything. great, the motherboard is fried or something.
bonus: they're not open on sundays. I'm going to have to drive 30 miles BACK to the goddamn store monday after work, to return/replace parts as needed.
why can't things ever be simple?

mistressmissy:
if things were simple wed have no reason to complain...and things would get boring. dont you think?
tao1:
well, of course. complaining is a full-fledged hobby for some people, myself included.
