decided to go see a movie tonight. due to the limited choices in-town, I ended up seeing the new bond flick, 'die another day.' it wasn't too shabby, lots of explosions, implied sex, nifty gadgets, and intrigue. pretty much standard bond fare. after that, I went to grab a bite to eat, and rediscovered something.
being the only customer in a resturant at night is kind of eerie...especially when you're by yourself.
after that, I drove out to toad suck on a whim (yes, there is a place called toad suck, and I live about 5 miles from it). parked the car and just sat there for a while, heater taking the edge off the cold of the night, listening to nick cave sing to me about the curse of millhaven. if it hadn't been so cold, and I hadn't left my coat at home, I think I would have hopped on the hood of the car and watched the stars for a while...who knows, might have even seen a straggler from the leonids shoot across my field of vision. it was going well until the sheriff's deputy pulled up next to me and told me to move along.
so, now I'm back here, answering emails from my mom wanting to know on what day I'll be coming down for thanksgiving, emails from people at work wanting to know why something broke after they did something stupid, and wondering why I ever bothered to purchase a webcam, given how seldom it gets used. whoo boy, my exciting life!

Sounds like you need to get out of there fast. Toad suck? LOL (shaking head) at least you have great taste in favorite films.

they even have a festival each year called 'toad suck daze'... it's really quite frightening.
