We have the 1830's to thank for the state trooper, whaler, army dress hat, complete with the goofy chin strap and patent leather visor. I made this one up for a shooting competition in November. Since it's up in Massachusetts, I'm going to need some more clothes, but hat is pretty bad ass.
So there is a cool piece in the WSJ about the future of museums. Good stuff is coming for those who can afford it. Anyway, the video includes me and my pals getting blown up and shooting at each other for a 4D movie coming out next summer. Here's to Spring: a warm fire, good friends, and fine tobacco. It was hot enough to sweat in North Carolina yesterday. Even the chubby rebels could not resist our bayonets and were forced to run. Time to put a finer edge on the diet and exercise. Soon, sun dresses and bare arms will return and all will be well.
