Saturday, the lovely bijoux and I braved the rain and went to a screening of Finding Neverland at the new branch of the American Cinematheque, the Aero Theatre. We sniffled throughout, then ate burgers and drank beer at Father's Office. We were having a great time until two brats who were waiting for a table actually asked us whether they could have out table when we were done. Perhaps I'm a bit sensitive, but I found that highly rude. We weren't even halfway through our meals! I said, "Sure, but I don't like to be rushed," then went and ordered more beer just to watch them squirm.
Sunday was the Southern California: Vacationland U.S.A. exhibit, then a screening of Sideways, which was amusing but also slightly depressing. I think the humor was too middle-aged for me, plus the cheesey free-form jazz score drove me batty.
Just occurred to me that I sound a little irascible. If so, I apologize, and I blame the P.M.S.

My father raved about Sideways, which naturally made me skeptical. I suspect my reaction and sarcasm would mirror yours.
