Installment #2

At breakfast, she dreaded the school day, and wished she could stay with her little brother and ask him what he was. Maybe he would be able to tell her. She ate some sort of breakfast that her non-cooking mother gave her, and left for the taxi station where she would go on the first leg of her journey to school.

He was ten years older than her, but even at 16, he knew the way he regarded her was borderline. No brothers or sisters led him to feel he longed for a sibling, and this little girl appeared to need one. But she was so much older in her face, he would think. Her range of expression surpassed those of many adults, including his mother. Yet his feelings, at least in the way that he steered them, were those of a benevolent shepherd guiding a visibly shaken girl.

In the taxi, he would protect her against the taunts of the other two boys, closer to her age, but still older. They enjoyed the game of crybaby, in which they would try and see which of them could make her cry first. At the beginning of the school year, it was quite easy, but as the Christmas season approached, their game appeared to be in jeopardy.

The truth is that since I've been on an SG journal strike my days have been a lot more productive, creatively and financially.

Preparing my journal entries, collecting the photos, resizing, uploading, checking every 15 min if anyone saw them or commented on them, finding something intelligent to post back on their journals and thanking them for posting on mine has been an interesting game in social interaction but it took six weeks out of my life during which I got nothing else done. The reward besides poverty has been a you don't belong.

I really don't understand the SG cast system. It must be extra difficult for girls. There are SG girls who get paid to get nakid, SG wannabes who pay in the hope to get paid to get nakid and then there are more brainy girls like you and bijoux who... why are you here?... all surrounded by men going love eeek kiss Oh and there is a ratio of 10 guys to a girl. It just doesn't seem healthy and wholesome. (Oh yeah who wants wholesome* huh?) It's more like some ancient civilization on some remote island that got hit by meteorite or some strange disease and decimated the female population and transformed the society to this cultish hierarchical cast system.

If I can't be equal among equals in a community, I don't want to be part of it.

*I googled wholesome to check the spelling and the first result was http://www.nudistweb.net/~wholesome/ (the christian aspects of naturism)

And I guess that's the good thing about SG, you find people who appreciate this sort of coincidence.

smile

I am probably breaking some other unwritten rule with such a long "comment". Oh well... wink love eeek kiss
