I knew Thursday 9th would be rubbish....
First of all, I came home from work to find that my fish, Blimp, had passed away. Mixed emotions really: sad that she'd finally gone, after being with me for 14 years, but pleased that she'd seen out her entire natural life in my pond. She was our first ever baby, and for her to die of old age rather than disease or a predator is really good.
It might sound silly to you, but my fish mean a lot to me, and I'll miss her.
Secondly, we were late for our gig, due to a number of different factors, and only got 45 minutes of music. That's where the fun all began though.
It turned out some inconsiderate sod had decided to commit suicide on the Circle line. Or, as they so eloquently put it, "there are no Circle Line trains due to there being a man under a train"...
And of course the District Line trains decided not to turn up either, so Victoria proved unreachable and we missed the last train back. So instead we took the Gatwick express and spent the night in Gatwick airport. Which was obviously a blast.
I ended up catching the 4.52am back to Brighton...
I've been up since 9am Thursday morning, broken only by 2 hours sleep. So time I went to bed then...
