Everybody said they'd stand behind me when the game got rough.

But the joke was on me there was nobody even left to bluff.

I'm going back to New York City, I do believe I've had enough. . .

I agree. The Yankees are beginning to resemble the bloated excess of Yankee teams of the late 70's / early 80's. Don't they realize that you need some role players, a Paul O'Neil or a Scott Brosius? They are obviously the most talented team in the A.L., but I am counting on them imploding. The Astros are the most talented team in the N.L., and look at them.

Santana is a stud, and now we got Shannon Stewart back. I believe the division is ours. And we got most of the ingredients for a successful playoff run: Two excellent starters, dominant closer, great defense. Hopefully the offense will pick up. If Justin Morneau ever figures out that it is legal to hit to the opposite field, he and Mauer may be what pushes us over the top. Of course, this is all subjective fan babble...
