Well, Z and I took our friend to a doctor today. Luckily, it turns out that her parents were keeping her on their health insurance. This kind of pissed her off, but after finding out how much certain tests could run, she felt better about it.
Anyway, she is schedule for a biopsy for one of the "masses" that were found on Wednesday. The doctor said that the mammogram indicated that the other "masses" were "calcified tissue", whatever the hell that means (she, the doctor, said it was nothing unusual). The doc was very reassuring and optimistic and very truthful about the issue of cancer.
I felt very out of place during the whole thing. Though I was praised for being an "understanding and attentive" husband.
