Ughhhh....work again, to start my entry, as usual. The boss is at burning man. So we stay behind, many days in a row. But whatever, eh? I'm sure the days off will come around for me at some point, right? If not, well there are a lot of other restaurants in San Fran, yes?

I've been back on the dating scene pretty ferrociously of late. Some good stories to tell. In search of the elusive girlfriend. Or at least enough fun people to hang out with when/if there's ever time.

Does all the huricane stuff on TV seem more severe than all the other made-for-tv "tragedies" that happen almost every day? I worry that when something really worthy of the term "tragedy" comes along, somehow the media has deadened us to it by calling every little disruption of peoples lives another "tragedy" in order to keep us tuned in. Not having a TV I don't know if this is how it is or not. Set me straight, how's it feel out there. All I really know is what I see on CNN.com (and I only really look at the headlines and pictures) and hear on NPR (nice low-key real news, as far as I'm concerned).
