Christmas is too strange for me. Sometimes I can't stomach watching all these grownups tuck into their gifts leaving wrapping strewn about in disarray with little pause to stop and appreciate each thought. Ah, well, I did make out pretty well so I can't complain. Beautiful new tights and fuzzy hat. With added warmth, perhaps I will decrease my energy bills and carbon emissions by not heating my house. Did that last winter and it felt like an adventure, a challenge. Then it got tiresome. But now, equipped with such toasty articles of clothing, it might be possible again.

Or maybe it's just laziness and my lack of present-wrapping skills.
