I've been wondering to what degree we are able to convince ourselves that something is worthwhile, feminist even, empowering, etc, when we just really need money. I'm not conflicted about having naked pictures up for all to see, but I don't identify as an exhibitionist the way some girls do. I don't rely on an internet community, or even particularly enjoy it. In fact, I don't own a computer and don't like to spend much time in front of them.
Besides, submitting a set's not effortless; it takes prep time and money, contact with a photographer, and you have to be ok with some guy putting his hands on your bare ass and saying "if you arched your back more and put the beer can here..."
(Well I didn't put up with that actually, and we got that straight right away. Later I was told by a suicide girl that I should have arched my back more, and somehow I appreciated I]that bit of advice. It's just that it was important for this set to be self-directed, even if that allowed for mistakes.)
That being said, despite the effort and the occasional discomforts, I do feel that this is a positive production overall. And if I was rolling in it, I'd still be on checking out cute girls, but you probably wouldn't see my ass up here.
So. Happy holidays to all. It is warm and quiet in Brooklyn at 4:32 AM, a time when the city actually does get a bit of rest, contrary to the old addage. Therefore it is my favorite time to be wide awake. Though not here in this stuffy little room...I think I'll duck out the fire escape and traverse the row of rooftops lining this brownstone street. Sleep tight and awake with presents and twinkle lights, if you're into that sort of thing.

Cool.
PS - Whatever the reasons were that brought you here, I'm glad you're here.
Even if you didn't arch your back.
