When did you first discover SuicideGirls?
I have known about Suicide Girls since pretty much the beginning as these pictures of interesting, beautiful tattooed women started surfacing in the early 2000s. I admired the ethos and cheered for them whenever they showed up in popular culture (even fake tattoos like in Californication). I finally became a member a couple of years ago and have only been really active over the last 6 months.
Do you have any nicknames? If yes, what are they?
Yes! I was nicknamed Irv by a group of my friends in my teens and some still call me that.
What is your favourite colour?
Black, at least according to my closet. Blue would be my 2nd.
What are your five most used emojis?
Any of the hearts then ☀️🤘🍑💪
Are you a morning person or a night person?
I'm a night owl who gets up way too early. I've simply worked my whole life at jobs that require early rising so I can't sleep in if I wanted to.
What’s your zodiac sign, & do you resonate with it?
I'm a Capricorn and I resonate with my sign. I am hardworking, loyal, determined and sensitive. I don't follow the Zodiac but as a generalization it's a good start. ♑️
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would choose to have full control of Time. It can be a weapon, a defense, you can travel...
If you could only choose one, would you rather fly with a unicorn or swim with a mermaid?
I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was young, then I worked on the water and now I control water so... I would have to pick fly with a unicorn because it would be a completely new experience.
Are you a dog or cat person, and do you have pets?
I am both a dog and a cat person. I mainly had cats growing up and I love their independence. I don't have pets right now but I am hoping to get a dog in the next couple of years.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
I would have to choose soup, then I can still have all of the worlds different flavors. Gazpacho, Sopa de Lima, Minestrone, Pho, Miso, Laksa, Wonton, Leek, Pea, Chicken Noodle. Kind of a cheat but I love food.
What are three things you can't live without?
Love, food, music.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I'm torn between Europe and Asia, I haven't done nearly enough traveling and I live in such a young country. I want to visit all the ancient places that I have read so much about over the years.
What's the most adventurous thing you've done?
Worked as a commercial fisherman. I started when I was 15 and I worked my first full salmon season when I was 16. Just 3 men on a 50 foot boat, one season I didn't touch land for 28 days. My last season was when I was 21 and it was on a 70 foot purse seiner.
Share something else that few people know!
One of my very few regrets is that when I was 13, I tried out and was accepted by the BC Boys Choir and then I turned them down because at the time I thought that lacrosse and girls were more important and it wasn't cool enough.
