What a strange week! Amidst the horrors in Norway, the uncertain economy, the Amy Winehouse tragedy, etc., I feel this amazing determination--here and elsewhere--to look forward, and with excitement and optimism. We pause, take stock, and move on, not forgetting the past or ignoring the sadness, but with a fully determined choice to be happy. For me, someone who suffered from chronic major depression for many years, this is such a wonderful and exciting revelation!! As I mentioned in my last post, the energy on SG is so positive--not that we're immune to tragedy, but that we care for and uplift and support each other as a community, all while celebrating beauty, friendship, and fun! I noticed today a couple of the friends I'd made had left the site, and it made me sad--I miss them, even though our encounters so far had been cursory. I guess that's what a true community is. Everyone matters.
