Still have 9 out of 33 dreads left to comb out, and I've only had to cut 3 so far. It's been a painful process so far, in more ways than one, but at least at this point I can be pretty sure I won't have to worry about being stuck with short hair after all is said and done. If anyone has any ideas for shoulder-length haircuts that might look good on me, I'm open to suggestions.
I'll post a better blog with more updates soon, but my fingers are pretty much fucked from this whole process so I just don't have it in me right now.
Also, I still have lots of jewelry for sale in the Swap Meet group, and I could really use the money right now to pay to have my hair dyed and cut and treated so the rest of it doesn't fall out, not to mention that my phone bill is due next week. Help me out guys.
Update: It's a really bad picture, but after 3 days of combing my hands are too sore and shaky and cut up to get anything better. Anyhoo, this is what my hair looks like post-dreads.

It doesn't look nearly as bad as I was expecting it to (it actually looks about the same as it used to without products in it), although the places where the dreads had caused thinning are still pretty noticeable.
I have some mixed emotions about it, but I guess I actually kinda like the way it looks on me. I'm going to have to cut about an inch off of the bottom to get the worst of the damage, but I'm going to try and keep the rest of the length. I'm also hoping to get a full set of extensions to add more thickness and volume.

Sounds incredibly rough. I didn't even know there was really the possibility of combing them out .. I always thought, that was it .. they got chopped. But I love dreads so go you, for having and then keeping your hair after them. :] Good luck!
