so i'm going with a friend to the tattoo shop i always go to so she can interview one of the artists for a school project, and i'm going to try to talk to my artist about a couple ideas i have going right now. since i have a job, i'm trying to plan out what work i'm going to get done first, and it's come down to a couple ideas. since i just got a new job, i'm going to hold off on any new piercings or highly visible tattoos for a bit so as not to get myself fired. so unfortunately both the tattoos and both the piercings at the top of my lists will have to wait, since all four were either on my shoulders, chest, or face. so the next idea on the list was to get my zombie pinup girl tattoo, either on my thigh or my right calf, probably the calf. anyway, i wanted a shot of bettie page, probably something like this:
this:
or this:
with just some simple adjustments to make her zombie-fied. just to be clear, i don't want her looking like a gross zombie, i still want her pretty, i just want to have a few subtle hints of zombieness to her. i'm also debating changing it up a bit, maybe giving her dreads? i'm not sure on that though. i'm just going to figure out how much it's going to cost me to get it done first, since i want this one in full color. i'm also going to see about adding a background to my france tattoo, but i have a feeling that's going to cost me a fortune so i'll probably get my pinup girl first. if anyone has any suggestions for that one feel free to give them to me. like i said, i'm just hoping for a general estimate this time around. even with a job, it could be more than a month before i can actually afford to get another tattoo.
i'm thinking i'll probably want to keep it bettie though, so keep that in mind if you do give me any suggestions. also, any artists out there who feel an urge to draw but don't know WHAT to draw, if you draw one for me and i like it enough it'll save me $50!
on a side note, anyone want to go to see the koffin kats with me and a friend on the 14th? tickets are only $10 a pop so it's a pretty good deal if you're into psychobilly music at all. it's gonna be a great time, you know you want to be our chauffer for the night! oh, i didn't mention that? yeah, we'd need a ride home. but it's only 1 way, and i'd be happy to split the cost of a ticket so you have more money for gas if you feel like going!
(in case you can't tell, we REALLY want to go haha!)
