lazy day at home.
finishing up some work now.
really in the mood to watch a good movie.
annoyed at myself for not getting to the video shop
before they closed, but HAPPINESS just came on the television.
and that makes me happy.
and i did not shave this morning,
so as soon as i lay down to watch the movie
the cat is going to crawl onto my chest
and lick and nuzzle my chin.
i'm hungry, but not for food.

i had such a wonderful dream last night.
it was long, and vivid, and happy, and realisitic.
and not surreal, strange, or scary for once.
it was all about CrushOne... and me... and connection... and love...
and that look that you see reflected back in certain people's eyes...
and when i woke up i thought it had all really happened.
but i was wrong.

there are far too many girls walking around in wifebeaters today.
i had to come back inside before i became a serious threat to passers-by.

I think that's the last album I bought too. You should hear the newest stuff. It's really terrinble!!!!!! He has this new woman as his lead singer and they are trying for a contemporary R&B sound as filtered through his past history of 4AD goth to beach boys to appalachia to like Whitney Houston or something. You havta hear it to believe it. Regardless, I'm still kinda intersted in him. His label released this CDR of a record he found at a thrift store. It was called The Steps. I think they were Thai, but it is an instrumental 60s kinda surf music mixed with Thai traditional and contemporary(at the time) sounds. If you want i'll burn you a copy. Go to his website. it pretty funny and mildly interesting just to see the scope of his endeavors. It's probably timestereo.com or something similar.

you know - I used to be a fairly crazy shopper at Dusty Groove too and I am into obscure 60's and 70's soul and funk, 60's now, freakbeat, garage, brazil, italian sndtrck, etc., blah, blah - but there are always tons o stuff that I don't have, so a trade would be good!!
