Holy Mary fucking mother of Jesus Christ! What a birthday celebration! My girlfriend (Erin) surprised me and took me to see DJ SHADOW perform at the House of Blues. What a brilliant show!
Light displays, movie projections, four turntables, a sequencer, and one mind-bogglingly amazing dj spinning tunes that were out of control! So many dj'd shows are boring because the music can be programmed in advance but this guy is all about performing live and entertaining a crowd that wanted desperately to become a part of the music.
Not bad for a white boy from Davis, California.

that line is one of my favorite movie lines of all times. that movie, and suddenly seeking susan are also the only 2 movies where i liked madonna's acting. what i love most about that movie is that it's one of the few chick flicks [and i abhorr chick-flicks, btw] that guys REALLY like [not just say they like to appease their girlfriends]. hell, even joe bob likes it!
