And another week (or so) has passed. I feel like I've done fuck all, but it's actually been pretty eventful. First off, I went to see Boris at Nice & Sleazy's and it was probably the best gig of the year so far. I spent far too much at it though but hey, you only live once.
Twas my friend Pauline's 21st the next night. We were actually meant to have been going salsa dancing but no one seemed like they could be arsed so people pretty much stayed in the bar. In addition, I couldn't think of what to buy her so instead I baked her a cake (my first ever). Thankfully, no-one died of food poisoning so I'd say the experiment was a success.
Saturday was my uni's night out and, for many, our final get-together. As such, it was mediocre. The meal was okay, the banter was nonexistent, but the venue itself was pretty decent. Candlelit clubs which play jazz during meals are a rarity, and as such should be treasured.
Finally, yesterday was a strange day, as it was both the first anniversary of my mother's death and my graduation. It was pretty bittersweet, as if you can't tell, but everything went off without a hitch and I now have a degree. Not too shabby.
Apart from that, everything is business as usual. I've been listening to a shitload of jazz, courtesy of zetetic, as well as live recordings of Red Sparowes and Physics. Oh, and I found out Meshuggah are playing later this year with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Yay!
Take care, all you beautiful people

Congrats on the cake and the graduation. My dad's two-year mark was a few weeks ago, also on a big day for me (with my job). I can relate.
