Yeah, back again. I have returned to uni and my classes aren't looking too bad this year, even if they are somewhat dull. I mean, why did I think a class on gas discharges & plasmas would be interesting? Ah well, I'll survive.
I've finally got back into going to gigs as well. I know it's only been around a month or so since I went to a gig, but for me around two weeks is where I hit the withdrawal stages. I went to see The Good, The Bad & The Queen (Damon Albarn/Paul Simonon's new band) in Motherwell, of all places. For those not familiar with these parts, Motherwell is in the arse end of nowhere. I know people in Glasgow who've never heard of Motherwell, for Christ's sake. Needless to say, it was a very strange choice of venue, but the gig itself was pretty damn enjoyable, and a welcome change from the bands I normally go to see.
Saturday was (don't laugh) Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and I'm sorry but it was really goddamn fun. I've always kind of avoided the whole indie scene, but there's some good stuff there. Only things that spoiled the evening were drunken arseholes and the 3 girls at the train station who threw rocks at me to get my attention, all so they could try and bum a smoke from me. WTF? Bunch of savages in this town.
Last night, however, I put those indie rock shenanigans behind me and went to see Brutal Truth, and to be honest I think I needed that gig. Sometimes, you just need 6 hours of grind to help you relax, y'know?
That's pretty much my life at the moment, anyways. All else has been taken up with reading, anime, uni and Emma, surprise surprise. I hope you're all doing well, and continue to do well.
Love & huggles
