Last weeks blog homework is "Share an experience from your past that helped shape you into the person you are today"
@Rambo @lyxzen and @missy have my brain working this week with their topic. Haha. An experience from my Past that has shaped me into the person that I am today would have to be being teased growing up. I was the quiet nerdy kid who moved around a lot and always sat in the front row. My mom wasn't very wealthy so my clothes were never spectacular and my shoes never lit up. I was called a countless amount of names and I was pushed around. I had people in my face all the time trying to fight me. I was the shortest in my class and I was terrified to fight anyone. One day, this girl came up to me and my only friend (jessica). The girl told us to move so she could sit. I stood up, and told her to go sit somewhere else. It came out of my mouth so fast I didn't even have time to think about it. She got angry and started walking towards me. I started screaming at her to leave me and my friend alone and that I was sick of her picking on me. She didn't come any closer, instead she said sorry and walked away! Just like that I stood up to someone who has been pushing me around all school year. After that day, I never got a negative comment made to me again.
Now, I do not let anyone push me around. I know what it feels like to be alone, and to feel like you don't fit in. Trust me, you don't need to alter your look, personality or interests to get someone to like you. Be yourself and you'll have who you need. It might have taken me years to realize this, but atleast I did. It truly helped shape me into the person I am today and it made me feel so much better about myself. If someone doesn't like you, who cares? If they express their opinion about you in a negative way, ignore it. Who are they to you?
Happy people are beautiful people. Be proud of who you are and stop letting mean ignorant people get to you.
I don't live to please anyone but myself. ❤🙋
