my younger brother tired to kill himself tonight by slitting his wrists. He's fine now but this is his second attempt in less than 6 weeks. I'm trying to have my parents commit him for a little bit which is funny because they committed me for a week for so much less.
After all of that excitement ended, took d_P out to whiteys for a birthday drink. It was one of the 4 bars open in town so it was really packed. Had a good time though. Went to the Slo-Mann tavern after that which is a little bar in my old-roommate's new basement. Drank there and killed hookers in GTA 3 for a while, then went home. Finally got to have a couple of conversations which was nice. Nothing resolved, but i still feel good. He'll be coming out to my place of work tomorrow night to see me take money from drunks. Should be a blast.

i am sorry about your brother. if he is trying, but not succeeding, that means he moreso wants attention than to die. there's no doubt that he needs help, and you need to be firm about that. and anyway, everyone benefits from a little therapy.
