So I have been teaching BB (as well as some nieces and nephews) to shoot when I am able to(the location I am in now prevents it some). She is getting alright at it, she is still a little hesitant with my larger pistols (which sucks for her as iuse nearly exclusively .45 for my pistols), except for my favorite. She likes that one a lot, and why shouldn't she, is a bad motherfucker and shoots like a dream after I tweaked it a bit (although i do have one more to do). She is still not comfortable using it with my pistol light/laser but she'll get used to it. I expected that, as it can be strange for people who have a tendency to cover the trigger guard especially people who are new to shooting (at least in my experience) to get used to the new grip. So I usually remove the light when she is shooting (which is a bit of a pain for this particular set-up), so I thought this time I would leave it and force her to change her grip. More I had planned on introducing some situational training this time, but as I'm not changing the set-up, I'll have to see how she does first. It will be good for her because flexibility is paramount in effective shooting, particularly for self-defense.
Anyway those are my thanksgiving plans. What are yours?
