Excerpt from my latest work:
From beyond the black seas of infinity, frozen in a mote of time and space in the far corners of our universe, there lies a milky swirl in a veil of obsidian. This is your galaxy, a distant and all too unremarkable cluster of stars drawn together by forces that humanity is only beginning to comprehend. Somewhere in this sea of fiery orbs lies a single blue speck of dust, an azure dot with a curious race of pink fleshed creatures. This is humanity, a sentient race of bipedal primates who build kingdoms of glass and steel.
Curious is the fact that they divide themselves into tribes and seek constant conflict. Where once their nations fought wars over the pedestrian notion of gods they later fought over which way they wanted to distribute the resources. They construct phantasmal ideals as a banner to unite their kin against one another, it is through these ideals that they build empires and prosper, at the expense of other humans and the very planet itself. But that is not why my eye is upon these insignificant, self important creatures. The wretched universe weaves a tale of drama and suspense on this petty little crumb of dirt, and it is my duty to watch it unfold, and never to intervene.
The eyes of oblivion are upon them, and as I have since before the universe's dismal birth, I shall watch as their paltry world comes to an end. When the Annunaki return from the depths of eternal space, beyond the reach of beings chained by bonds of physical matter, the fragile truths constructed by that idiot creature that calls itself human shall be shattered. The notions of God and Heaven will be torn asunder, the dreams of Democracy shall crumble, and humanity will learn it's final lesson; the lesson of humility, that which it has preached but never practiced.
Humanity shall know they are not alone in this universe. They shall know that they are merely a resource, ripe for the harvest.
