Time stops, the rustic air
Stagnates in a golden lair.
Leaves turn auburn as life withers bare
While death and rebirth attests to our prayers.
An autumnal equinox humbles the earth
As Gaia prepares for the next great birth.
Mankind beholds with wondrous mirth,
Seeing at once nature's forgotten worth.
Cool breezes of air reign over the night.
Grey skies sunder with blades of light.
Nature's at peace, relaxing her might,
Forgetting for now her bitter spite
And giving us peace.
