Dear Madam:
In response to your prayer received 15 March 2008, I regret to inform you that sleep has been taken off the market and replaced with something more cost effective. There is an equivalent therapeutic interchange to the escape you no longer make the journey to each night and it should be available to you before the end of the year.
Please excuse the tardiness of this reply, as I receive millions of prayers each day, and fashioning a response to each of them is rather time consuming. I am quite sorry that you have been unable to sleep all these nights, but as a rule, I just cannot go throwing miracles and such around, and frankly, you being able to sleep just did not make it through the budget cuts this year. I do hope you understand and continue with your efforts in prayer, maybe one day yours might be the one I can afford to answer.
Sincerely,
Your Maker

So how come you work so much? A nurse?
