Im really excited. I went to see a lecturer today about my dissertation proposal (a dissertation is a 10, 000 word essay and a couple of presentations). I wanted to do mine on vampires throughout history and their effect on burial archaeology. My worry was that theyd think i was some mad buffy fan and would say no.
Turns out the lecturer was more excited about it than me and has really encouraged me. Shes gonna help me all I can and if I do well I could be contributing to how we view archaeology(theres not been much research into vampire legends so we have all these disturbed graves but no way of explaining them)
So i have a long summer ahead of me in dusty old libraries trawling through pictures of graves and old tales of vampires! EXCELLENT!!!!!
I wouldnt be weesie without my daily moan though. Ive worked too hard at the bakery and have been stressing about my exams. i have made myself ill
been told by uni i have to quit my job because its affecting my work plus my hours are way too long for a student.

Any chance you could apply for a hardship grant and get your lecturers to speak in your foavour considering they think you should be working less? Just an idea.
I read a good book on vampyres recently that laid out a lot of the stuff behind the myth: ISDN 0922915938 True Vampires. Might be worth having a peruse.
