WALKING IN THE FREEZING RAIN, LISTENING TO THE CLASH...
..."SANDINISTA" is one of those albums i caught on to late, for as teen "punk" the only Clash that i owned was "Give em' Enough Rope," though i frequently stole my brother's copy of "Black Market Clash" which didn't contain the ripped-up version of "Robber Dub" that was deconstructed on "Super Black Market Clash"...maybe the tune became too controversial with the simple rhyme: "Daddy was a bank-robber, but he didn't hurt no body, he just liked to live that way, and he liked to steal your money..."
...ANYWHO...the cold crackling ground of this ugly north-east state did not intimidate me from walking about today...it felt like a refresher, especially when that artic-ice hits my face...eventually you warm up to it, and it becomes a high and the numbing sensation takes on a morphine effect to ease your frustrations...much needed today as i had to give up having to pick up the phone to my "lesbian turned christian 'straight' friend...she was more exciting company when she ignored religion over her heart, but it's probably my own fault for getting naked on front her a few times as a test of her then "girlfriend"...
...AND SO... i like these long walks, they make me think...i almost made it through the whole set of "Sandinista"...it's almost a three hour album...yet i was only listening to the second disc of the album...so, i go on wondering: do i keep on trying to find a career within my given degrees or do i sack it all with the wasteful slave-labor shit i do in order to write my 1st book...the torture of everyday life is what inspires me. Oddly enough, the tune turns to "Lose This Skin" and the repeated chorus line keeps repeating: "I've got to lose this skin I'm imprisoned in...Got to lose this skin I'm imprisoned in..."
