"LOVE IS ONLY IN YOUR MIND...NOT YOUR HEART"
...and if it seems to sound like i've learned to love again...it's only because of MGMT's latest one: "Congratulations"...
...as happy as i am that this one will produce no hits or publicity according to the media blitz: these young minds attract my addictive personality, especially in a tune named "Brian Eno"...just makes me happy that i don't make my mind up stroking my thing off to the norm of "what's in"...that's why i've always hung in my own private shadow and have always penetrating thru those who go with the flow...
...AND, AS I'VE BEEN WANTING TO REVIEW THIS ALBUM ON ONE OF THE MANY SITES I DONATE A FEW MUSIC REVIEWS TO HERE AND THERE...i don't know exactly where to place this one with words...it's sort of a visionary brian wilson trip on acid and the best tunes he produced while being in a state of blue hawaii...yet, it hits the avenue of becoming something as original as sparks "kimono my house"...
...CLEVER ENOUGH...these song-birds have focused their sound on another level...stirred away from "dance friendly" rhythms from the "Oracular Spectacular" album like "Kids," "Time to Pretend," etc....
...NOT THAT THERE WAS ANYTHING FLAWED ABOUT THE 1ST ALBUM AND I'M NOT GOING TO LIE: I STILL LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE LATEST ALBUM...
...THEN AGAIN...seeing how baby-faced andrew van wyngarden looks in interviews: i'd be jumping on that one that i were a young babe of any race...
...YET...it shouldn't be about the looks or top forty when it comes to creating different hooks...for...it takes a genius to create a new soul.
