So I had a root canal done recently. All I can say is always make sure with your insurance that there are no hidden things before you go ahead and get any massive amounts of dental work done. Turns out that my insurance only covers up to 500 dollars of dental work per year. Needless to say I was not impressed.
Well atleast the root canal got half covered. Ive still got to for out another grand for a crown and then get some wisdom teeth pulled.
"Hello Im your dentist, Im charging you 1 thousand dollars for a root canal another thousand for a crown and then Im gona pull out 4 teeth and charge you almost 2 thousand dollars. I have no quams with that and sleep perfectly at night"
Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone to school for dentistry.

rpg:
I had a root canal last year, mostly covered.....but it didn't work 100%, so they sent me to a dental surgeon on Saskatoon, and he charged me and additional $1,400 for a 2nd root canal, NONE of which was covered.....and that also didn't work 100%, so now....what to do? Don't want to pull the tooth after spending over $2,000 on it.
