Simon Kenton, namesake of Kenton, Ohio. Kenton was born in 1755 in Virginia. Served in the Revolution, Northwest Indian War and the War of 1812. Is credited with saving the life of Daniel Boone. Buried in Oakdale Cemetery in Urbana, Ohio.
