I had a dream last night.
I was in a futuristic battleship. Or maybe it was an aircraft carrier. We were sailing in rough seas, investigating something, possibly military activity. I remember the bow of the ship had these really cool guns in the center of the hull. Out of nowhere, munitions rained down and split the bow from the rest of the ship. The bow, with it's cool weapons continued drifting, but the rest of the ship sank very quickly. No one jumped out. After a few moments of watching this, I realized I had lost something very important and wondered what could happen next, with only 1/4 of the ship drifting around in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, the sunken ship resurfaced, but it turned into a giant mech. It didn't look like those Japanese ones. The best way I could describe it is as a cross between a dude from Tron and the Silver Surfer or Dr. Manhattan. It was lithe and massively tall. The ocean only came up to it's knees. More munitions came down, but the ship/mech dodged them. It pointed at the enemy and tried to fire, but it`s fingers/weapons were missing, still drifting aimlessly as a ship. The mech tried to pick up it`s missing part, but the munitions kept it off balance. Then I woke up.
I realized something as I lie awake in bed, trying to pretend I was still asleep: my most vivid and interesting dreams come when I go to sleep with ideas buzzing in my head. My dreams are a sign of my creative mind awakening.
