So CTA.
fuckers. they're seriously getting in the way of my beer belly...
I was good tonight. I actually remembered to lookup what buses/trains would be running later in the evening so I could get home with out having to deal with/pay for a cab.
Genius... so I went to the brown line at irving park. the gentle man there was good enough to stop me and let me know that I'd missed the last south bound train. fine. I could probably still catch the irving park bus and go the 6 blocks south to the red line and/or Sheridan bus (which would save me 6 more blocks after the train).
But I have this issue... I don't like waiting for buses. I'd much rather walk the route, turning around all the time to make sure I catch the bus sneaking up on me. fine. so I start east. no buses...but just as I'm about a block away from the train station I see both the north and south bound red lines go past... well, hardly worth waiting at the station then.... that's 15 minutes minimum of freezing my ass off... and besides the Sheridan bus will get me so much closer... and I'm not going to want to walk after I get off the train... so I'll just walk along that route... no problem....
Well the bus never went past. I saw 3 go the other way but not one past me. the whole way home. so that was all the way from Irving park brown line at 4000N / 2000W all the way to 3000N / 400 W.... and I know that's only like 3 miles or so.... it was more than I wanted to walk after midnight on a sunday.
Anyway bowling was good and I don't have work tomorrow. so I'm all right

Oh, you can't see the rest of the room in that shot... it's all piles of clothing and cats sleeping on it all. (And books, and plants, and DVDs, and CDs, and pens, and shoes...)

Hey I'm really glad you were able to get a bus back so easily. Thanks for your help last night; sorry for being such a drunk.
