I think you totally limit yourself by saying you're going to stick with people who've been with around the same amount as you.
Maybe someone's number is really low because they were in a long-term relationship for several years. Maybe someone's number is higher because they haven't been in relationships. Maybe people should realize that it's just a fucking number and is in no way a statement of your attractiveness, or anything else. Just because someone's only been with one person doesn't mean they haven't had wild, crazy, kinky sex that you would never dream of having, and just because someone's slept with quite a few doesn't mean they're incapable of enjoying love and missionary position sex.
And I don't think it's anybody's business who sleeps with who at work. I think people spend far too much time worrying about what everyone else is doing.
and I hate the word slut more than anything. Anything.
