MY JUKEBOX AND HOW MUCH I LOVE IT
OK, I don't know how many of you are familiar with this item but it is one of my favorite things in the world. I got it off a guy I knew in the carnival like summer of 98' for $150. It is loud, lights up, is made of shitty fake wood paneling (also known as formica) fake chrome accents, prism tape etc. It has a glass cover that lifts up for you to acess the turntable, am/fm radio, tapedeck, 8-track and auxillary. It also has amplification for 2 external speakers as well and I run my TV/DVD into it.
I love it to DEATH but 2 years ago the turntable died, I couldn't find a replacement until just recently after many tries I got a General Electric turnable from the 40's/50's easily that was in my paent's attic for the last 30 years and after some slight tune up it works great, fully automatic operation, record size selector and not just 3, it has 4 speeds! 33, 45, 78 and 16 not that I will ever use the 16. I can't find a turntable that does that shit anywhere in a store these days. And one that will still work with the original needle from 30 years back? Fucking forget it.
I regretfully inform that the tapedeck component is dead though. But I did replace all the colored lights in it today and dusted it off and made it all sparkly again. It is also covered with stickers from hardcore/punk bands I've seen over the past few years.
I didn't realize how important having a working turntable was to me until I realized I have like over 80 7"s now and like half I haven't listened to. Tha doesn't even mention my 10" and 12" stuff. So long and short having a punk rock jukebox with a working turntable is good !!

oh my fucking word. you know why i look familiar to you? (i am laughing so hard.) because i've talked to you. lots of times. i used to work in Carousel more often, and i'd come down to the store all the time, mostly to check out the body jewlery. that, and because everything else in that place sucks my butt. if i can, i'll stop by thursday when i'm working, you'll know me when you see me.
