Today I saw a semi-elderly woman who sparked one of my many repressed memories/fears. I've had a bad week and one of my prior english essays* helped a little bit for me (I got an A btw)... However, the story has been known to induce vomitting... so read with caution!
Why can't the elderly just accept certain shortcomings of life?.. I've developed phobias which spawned from the inability of elderly women to accept one of those age-induced shortcomings. When old ladies lose their eyebrows it must be so traumatic for them that they feel the need to paint them back on.
My fear of the elderly and clowns started when I noticed my grandmother with makeup that resembled that of Cookie from The Bozo Show. At the time, I wasn't too startled and more or less just looked for some ping pong balls to throw into a tin can. Soon after, though, I took notice to other clown-like elderly women. With most of them looking like a rodeo clown and Droopy Dog mated; it wasn't long before my fear escalated. By the time the movie "It" came out, I was so petrified of elderly women and clowns that I became agoraphobic. Hell, in light of everything, "It" could have been played by Tammy Faye Baker and I would have been equally as frightened. Now, seeing any clown (especially the ones with cheeseburgers in their hands) is enough to drop me into the fetal position...
The moral of my story is that both clowns and the elderly alike, are fine in small doses. Just stray from Walmart, Old Country Buffet, McDonalds, watching the Golden Girls or anything with Angela Landsbury and you should be fine... and don't do drugs
