I gots me a mantis shrimp!
For those of you who don't know about these incredible animals, here's a Wiki article.
I have been wanting one of these forever... it's the only critter I'd ever set up a saltwater for, I am a die-hard freshwater hobbyist. I was holding out for a smaller pest species, but when we got a peacock at work I had to have him. He's in a glass 20g temporarily while I find a cheap tank to put the current inhabitants of my 40g acrylic in, then he can have that. He is not a very aggressive specimen, and interesting as heck!
I tried to feed him by hand, but he had already eaten two krill today and was full
. Here's a video of him rejecting my offer, anyway. I don't trust him enough to let him get ahold of my fingers, but I can feed him by hand without any problems.

New tankmates/snacks. He doesn't like snails much, apparently, and leaves them alone unless really hungry.
Body shot
Revamped home, I picked up some coral frags at work to see if they will live. I have basically zero interest in corals outside of mushrooms with neat texture and pulsing xenia, though.
Mantis butt!
