Ah.... finally, Krafft-Ebing's Psychopathia Sexualis is in my hot little hands... well, for a couple of months, anyhow. Hopefully that should be long enough; frankly, I'm surprised that Princeton even let it go for that long - it's in pretty rough shape! It breaks my heart to see material deteriorate like that, but ah.. the passing of time (pity it can't be stopped). I'm thinking about making one of my specialities book repair, once I start to get into the guts of my studies (I'm only just beginning a grad program this fall)... another thing that I find quite saddening is that so much material is going electronic - I mean, it's fantastic to get knowledge to the public, but I have a great concern for the conservation of archival materials. hoo boy - I forget sometimes, about the sleepiness of my topic of conversation to the general public... sooo.... boobies? erm, sandwiches? roller coasters? those are just about the most exciting things that I can think of (aside from books, but I'll leave that one alone).
