Hi everyone!

I caught chickenpox years ago off my young brother. Normally that wouldn't have been a problem, but I caught it just as I was about to take my exams at school - this was a lifetime ago, in 1979, when UK School exams were different to now. My period of illness, and quarantine, covered every single exam I was taking. I had it bad, too - I had spots in my mouth and throat, on my scalp, and face - I lost my eyebrows, and they never grew back properly. It was hell, and I feel sorry for you, and hope you recovered okay. I took my exams, sitting alone in the school councellor's office, driven there and back by my dad. I passed every one, possibly because there were still bits of me, like the soles of my feet, that still itched, and I blocked it out by thinking hard about the answers I was giving. Just remembering that has made me a bit itchy... ; )
