I'm going to introduce you to a band now that you might not have heard of.
The band's name is IAMX, and when I say band what I really mean is the guy. IAMX is a side project from one of the founding members of the Sneaker Pimps (Chris) and their sound, at least to me, sounds a bit like what Depeche Mode and MUSE might produce if they had a child. There's almost nothing Sneaker Pimpsish about IAMX, but it's still darkly fantastic (occasionally shades of New Order and Morrissey in there too.

Another weekend of fireworks has come and gone in Montreal - I think most people who live here are so used to the, literally, endless fireworks displays that they don't get all bothered about it... then, every once in a while I meet someone who's not "from here" and they go absolutely crazy that there's fireworks and it's like watching a kid on Christmas morning.
To be clear there are, on average, 2-3 fireworks displays visible from my apartment *every single week* in the summer. Not little tiny "hurray it's a BBQ" fireworks, full massive ones that light up the sky across the city.
For one of the shows, the fireworks are synchronized to music broadcast over one of the local radio stations (Rythme 105.7 FM) - sadly I don't have a radio in my apartment though as the musical choices are truly... unique.
