I work in a small team of 4, the other 3 are guys. It's really difficult cos I'm not "one of the lads" nor do I want to be, but it's getting really obvious that they've given up trying to include me in their team. I think I lost it when I said I didn't eat at KFC. I don't think they're being malicious, it would almost be easier if they were - at least there'd be something to push back against. No, they're just making fun of me in that laddy way and when that's ALL you have for 8 hours a day, it gets really wearing. I thought I'd broken through today when we had a discussion about St George and dragons, and I got carried away and said how interesting I find it that dragons have sprung up independently in both Eastern and Western cultures - and wonder what could be the link - and of course that was turned into "oh you believe in dragons".
They're always bitching about other people, especially the girl i've replaced. It's not the most relaxed working environment.
