Remember a few posts ago I mentioned my american ex boyfriend, who was about to set off on the "trip of a lifetime" teaching English around the world with his girlfriend? And I was debating whether to tell him he was woefully underprepared, underfunded and disillusioned? Well, in the end I decided to leave things be, we learn from our own mistakes. And it looks like I was right, he only arrived last week, and already he's thinking about ducking out, by the sound of it, alone, to Chicago, to live with his sister.
This is one of those, "I'd say I told you so, but its not quite appropriate" moments.
After living with N for a year with less than no money, in a country where they dont speak english, and dealing with beaurocratic/mental/economic stresses, I feel suitably qualified to comment. Some people just dont have the sticking power.
in other news, I'm going to a police auction in town today, and you can buy bikes for a 5!
Also, ive discovered a rollergirls group in town, and i really want to go along it looks like great fun! I feel a lot better today, i think I was just tired for the past couple of days.

Je pense aller faire un tour en Angleterre avec mon copain d'ici quelques mois, mais on ne sait pas encore quand exactement. Peut tre qu'on fera un tour par Birmingham!
