I want a hang!!
Wiki Entry
I first encountered it in Barcelona, and in my humble opion it's one of the most beautiful sounds you can hear. There's someone in Aix with one too now, and he's the only busker worth stopping for.
I also giggled my way through work today. The French commis was trying to practice his english, and said "the blue box", but it came out Frenchified, more like "ze bluh boxe". I mentioned it was pronounced more "blooo" and the kitchen fell about laughing because it sounded so bizarre to them. I then giggled at their giggling, (and the repeated failed attempts by the commis to correct himself), and well, you know how it goes.
I did learn that cockrels in France crow "cockeriko", and not cockadoodledo, hows that for a french accent!
We may be heading to Italy for the weekend soon (oh its a hard life being 4 hours drive from Italy, and 5 from Spain...) so anyone with any comments on Genoa and the surrounding area please feel free to drop by and give tips.
On another note, I've found out French dentistry is far superior to British practice. I've never encountered a laser in a dentists before, so either France is ahead of the game (...unlikely...) or Britian is just wofully behind...hmmm
Finally, thanks for all the friend requests, comments, quotations, etc. However, if you have no blog/comments/pics and 1000+ friends, all girls, its unlikely I'm going to accept. No hard feelings. Well...
