In two days, we'll find out.
While the rest of the country works itself into a froth over the farcical election, I will be waiting for Cerberus to announce how they're going to fuck Chrysler over. The Germans were bad enough, but this is patently ridiculous. To paraphrase their utterances a bit more than a year ago, "We're in it for the long haul!" Bullshit. You bastards confirmed my feelings when you hired Bob Nardelli of I Screwed Over Home Depot So Much They Paid Me More Than $250 Million to Go Away fame. I need his contract. Whenever I've been fired, I get a boot up my ass as I walk out the door; he gets the Powerball jackpot. If ever was there a need for Oni's Culling of the Rich, he's the prime example.
This is pissing into the wind anyway. According to Allpar's feed, R-N is out of the running since they only wanted 20% of the company, not the 80.1% Cerberus is offering. I haven't heard if Daimler is giving away their 19.9% yet, but they did debase its value to zero last month, so maybe they will. "Buy 80% of Chrysler, get the other 20% free!"
Two months ago, I swore I would not get wrapped up in something so patently ridiculous as a GM-Chrysler merger. I guess I'm just not as forward-thinking as the stuffed shirts with MBAs in Auburn Hills, Detroit, Stuttgart, or NYC.

Here's an interesting thought: Daimler kills Chrysler by proxy.

The bright side....I'm watching election commentary by Jerry Springer. That's one of the benefits of living in Cincinnati!
In ultra shitty news, my dad got laid off today.
